From Cerignola to San Francisco, from Austin to Rome. Cristina Bowerman’s life is an exciting journey between Italy and the United States to deepen the culinary art. The only woman to win the Michelin star in 2010 for her work at the Glass Hostaria restaurant in Rome, she created Romeo Chef & Baker, a multi-purpose venue that includes a gourmet restaurant, a bakery, the Neapolitan pizza and Roman Giulietta pizza, a delicatessen and a homemade ice cream parlour, Fridge. President of Ambasciatori del Gusto, an association created to promote Italian food and wine identity worldwide, avoiding waste and promoting environmental sustainability, supporting numerous charitable organizations, such as Telefono Rosa (of which it has been Ambassador since February 2018), Restaurants against Hunger , FioranoForKids, ActionAid. Her commitment was rewarded by numerous acknowledgments: from “Chef Donna dell’Anno” 2018 and “Valorization and Culture of the Made in Italy – Italian Association of Ambassadors of Taste”, recognized by FoodCommunity, to the LoveItalianLife Award to “Best Female Italian Chef in Europe 2018”.
