The Grand Rooftop Views
Rome, Italy
Located in Palazzo Caetani Lovatelli, historic building dating the 16th century - this modern apartment is the nest of an Italian writer. Enjoy the wooden floors and open plan kitchen directly overlooking the terrace, surrounded by domes and perfect to enjoy a dinner outside and its unique views. Where will you be located? The square takes its name from an important building, Palazzo Lovatelli, built in 1580 by Gianfilippo Serlupi, who, in the nineteenth century, thanks to the Countess Ersilia Caetani Lovatelli, became well-known salon open to artists and writers of the caliber of Carducci, Mommsen, Gregorovius, D'Annunzio, Zola, Liszt. Place of enormous charm, this square, where, during some excavations, finds from the Portico di Filippo, built by Augustus's brother, were found: it was a quadriporticus that was used as an exhibition space for works of art. Today the square is home to the Capitolina Superintendency for Cultural Heritage. CIR 6119
